Garden centers and plant nurseries sell annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees, vegetables and houseplants, along with soil, mulch, fertilizer, pots and tools. Independent nurseries often grow part of their own stock and carry varieties that do well in the local climate, while big-box garden departments compete on price for common plants. Wholesale nurseries and growers sell to landscapers and sometimes to the public at volume prices; tree nurseries sell balled-and-burlapped and container trees and can deliver and plant large specimens. Specialty growers focus on bonsai, cactus and succulents, orchids or native plants, and hydroponics stores sell lights, nutrients and systems for growing indoors.

Bellingham is in Washington, in the Pacific Northwest, where winters are mild and wet, summers are dry and pleasant, and outdoor recreation drives a lot of local business; hours change little through the year. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Bellingham follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Lots of selection, generally a good experience. As a noob to gardening, getting questions answered is a lot hit or miss, really depends on which person you ask. Staff does seem to get overwhelmed and less friendly on busy days. This might be made worse by the fact of having weekday hours that seem out of touch with the reality of when most working people would want to come shop, making the weekends overloaded with customers. Also, the loyalty punch card program is a bit silly; the fine print gates on getting punches make it hard to get 10 punches, which eventually amount to the equivalent of a $50 credit, but after spending a minimum of $500 that is basically 10% or less, making it not worth the hassle. Nits aside, this is generally a charming place with good selection. The have fun looking events, good sales which you can know about via email, and sometimes there's a very social and talkative cat around the yard which is a fun bonus if you're into that!

I love this nursery they always have beautiful indoor and outdoor plants and flowers. I would like to give a huge thank you to Laurie as she went above and beyond helping me with picking out beautiful flowers for our yard. She answered all my questions and is very knowledgeable. She even helped me load them in my car. That is wonderful service as well as all the others who work there.

I brought 2 medium/large cactus in to get repotted today. I want to give a HUGE shout out to Heidi! She is so kind, thoughtful listener, caring, and was a very helpful and professional person. She has a very high quality personality and customer service skills. I really appreciate her so much! When I picked up my Christmas cactus, they looked so beautiful and repotted with care. She even gave me recommendations on cactus care while the they settle into their new pots. Thank you so much Heidi! Iβll be coming back here again.

We attended a class here (1st timers) and had a great time!! Great staff, great value for cost of the class, good instruction & a coupon to shop :) We left with a large bulb pot (called Lasagna bulb pot) to watch over for the winter then it will sprout in the spring π± and bloom in layers for a beautiful mixed pot. βοΈπͺ»π· Take a class!! You'll love doing it & then enjoy your result long term.
